Super Saturday

After a wild ride through old Calcutta this morning, and a walk down the streets of the red lights district, we came to a place of peace and redemption -- Love Calcutta Arts-- where women and girls are redeemed. This is the site of WorldCrafts work-- making books, saree blankets, cards, parts for the electronic rust prevention of Australian cars, and water filter parts. This gives the daughters of sex workers a hope for a better life as well as job skills and most importantly an invitation to etrrnal lifts. Next we walked a few blocks to see the Australian run Free Set buildings. Love Calcutta employs 18 women, while Free Set has about 200. Both have the same basic goals of redemption, but their operations are vastly different. Free Set mass produces a variety of tote bags and t-shirts. They are also in the process of remodelling their space to make room for more women. So,buy WorldCraft items and help these and more girls and women be free, indeed. Keep praying.
