Greetings from Kolkata, This has been a great day for learning about God's work with oral people in Asia, thru Bible stories. The NT was translated into an Asian language, but after the process of printing was completed the translators realized that none of the people could read. So they began to explore ways of presenting the NT thru audio systems. Finally a man decided to use the SD card for phones and multiply the capability with Bluetooth technology. Then he could send the audio to all the phones in the area and each person could listen to the NT. What an awesome concept! Then we divided into small groups and walked along dusty. roads to pray for the people. We saw the tea fieldsthe processing plant and warehouse which was nothing more than a brick building that employed many workers and very little equipment. On the way back to the hotel Billy shared his testimony with a man at the village store. Another group went to a large tea field. As they walked through the field a man invited them to sit outside his home (a shanty with a dirt floor) to have tea with him. One of the local workers will follow up with him next week. The flight to Kolkata was another lesson in cultural differences. So many lessons to be learned. Please continue to pray for our team.
