Bangalore Hospital

We spent most of today at Dr. Rebekah Naylor's hospital with tours and briefings about the hospital. With 10 chaplains for a 300-bed hospital, it is easy to see that community outreach is a priority. The chaplains specialize in areas such as hospice home care, Sunday services, and community service. From their efforts 29 house churches have begun. About 75% of the 800+ staff are Christians. With 15 acres or land the hospital includes medical training for internationals and the Rebekah Naylor School of Nursing. Many young women who are poor are given scholarships and attend 2.5 year program which includes practical experience at the hospital. In Sept.the school will offer a bachelor degree program. The facility is looking at expanding with a 9 story nursing dorm. The work is the Lord's and the fields are plenty in this city of 10 million. Please pray for God's workers as they minister to so many with such great needs. Pray for the masses as they struggle to survive against insurmountable odds that only God can change with His love and hope of eternal life.
